Symposium 5: 7th Asia-Pacific International Symposium on Microscale Separation and Analysis (APCE 2007)
Chair: LI Fong Yau, Sam
Co-Chair: LEE Hian Kee
Scope of Symposium
APCE 2007 provide a forum for novel approaches in separation, detection and sample preparation. In particular, capillary and microchip-based separations in pharmaceutical and industrial applications, as well as in drug discovery, biotechnology and clinical analysis, will be among the topics discussed. Special emphasis will also be given to the fusion of micro/nanotechnology and bio/chemical technologies for the application of genomic, proteomic, metabolomic analyses and future personalized medicine. Attendees from industrial and government research institutions and academia are invited to participate in the technical program, which will include invited and contributed oral presentations and poster sessions.
Topics of Interest:
- Capillary electrophoresis and electrochromatography
- Micro-total analysis systems
- Genomics, proteomics and two-dimensional electrophoresis
- Chemical and biomedical analysis by capillary electrophoresis and microchip electrophoresis
Papers presented in the APCE 2007 (Singapore) Symposium will be published in a special issue of a premium journal in the field (Electrophoresis) after subjecting to the normal reviewing process of the journal.
